Heartland Steel is hiring experienced, dependable structural steel welders and fabricators for full time work at our shop in Woodway, Texas, near Waco. You will build structural steel, miscellaneous metals and custom stairs and railings in a 125 by 75 foot shop alongside AWS certified welders and a CNC plasma table.
What we’re looking for
- MIG and flux core welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic measurements and layout
- Structural steel fabrication and fitting experience
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, measurements and tolerances
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
