Turnkey Steel Packages

Turnkey Structural Steel One Contract, Shop to Site

Heartland Steel takes your steel package from shop drawings to final bolt. Detailing, fabrication, delivery and steel erection run under one contract, with one company accountable for the whole scope.

What Turnkey Means

One Steel Partner Instead of Three

On a typical job, a general contractor buys structural steel from three directions: a detailer for shop drawings, a fabricator for the steel and an erector to set it. Every handoff between them is a chance for a missed dimension, a late delivery or a dispute over who pays to fix it.

A turnkey package from Heartland Steel closes those gaps. You send the drawings, we carry the steel scope through to completion, and your project manager has one number to call.

Turnkey structural steel, defined

A turnkey structural steel package is a single subcontract that covers shop drawings, fabrication, delivery and erection of a building's steel frame and related metals. The steel contractor manages every step and stays accountable for the finished steel scope.

Scope of Work

What a Turnkey Package Includes

01

Detailing and Shop Drawings

Shop drawings and erection drawings coordinated under the same contract and submitted to your team for approval.

03

Structural Steel Fabrication

Beams, columns, frames and assemblies built in our Woodway, Texas shop to your approved drawings and specifications.

04

Delivery and Sequencing

Steel shipped in the order your erection schedule calls for, so the right pieces land when the site is ready.

05

Steel Erection

Erection crews managed by Heartland set, plumb, bolt and weld the frame from the same drawings the shop used to build it.

06

Miscellaneous Metals

Stairs, rails, ladders, embeds and platforms can be added to the same package so your Division 5 scope stays with one sub.

Questions From GCs

Turnkey Structural Steel FAQ

What is included in a turnkey structural steel package?

A turnkey package from Heartland Steel covers shop drawings, material procurement, fabrication, delivery and steel erection under one contract. Miscellaneous metals such as stairs, rails and embeds can be added to the same package.

Do I still need to hire a separate steel erector?

No. Steel erection is part of the turnkey package. Heartland contracts and manages the erection crew, so you have one subcontract and one point of contact for the full steel scope.

Can joists and metal deck be part of the package?

Yes. We can buy out steel joists and metal deck and include them in your turnkey package, so the full steel scope stays under one contract. We can also supply a pre engineered metal building when the project calls for one.

Can you work from drawings our own detailer already produced?

Yes. We fabricate from approved shop drawings, whether they come through our detailing process or from a detailer already on your project.

How does turnkey steel help the project schedule?

Because one team plans fabrication, delivery and erection together, steel is built and shipped in the sequence the crews will set it. That cuts down on waiting, rehandling and fit up delays between separate subs.

Do you take turnkey projects outside of Texas?

Yes. Our shop is in Woodway, Texas, near Waco, and we take on turnkey structural steel projects for general contractors nationwide.

How do I get a turnkey steel bid?

Fill out the short form on our bid request page or email estimating@heartlandsteeltx.com. Our estimator will follow up to talk through the project and collect your plans and specs. Choose turnkey as the scope.
